Defcee
Defcee is a rapper from River Forest, Illinois. He released his debut album, One Eye Open, in 2007 at the age of 17. Since then, he's released two mixtapes (one/self and Out From Under), an EP (The Panama Sessions), and an album with Milwaukee producer Moses (Selves). His second album, Damn Near Grown, was released in December of 2015. It featured cover art from Dewey Bryan Saunders (Anderson .Paak's Venice and Malibu), as well as production and guest appearances from Noname, Saba, Joseph Chilliams, Benjamin Earl Turner, Sev Seveer, and Goldenbeets, among others. He has performed all over the United States, sharing the stage with everyone from Little Brother and Wale to Saul Williams and Amiri Baraka, as well as in London, U.K., and Panama City, Panama. His next project, A Mixtape as God Intended, Vol. One, will be released in late November/early December 2018, via Machine Wash Records, which will also be releasing his album Unlegendary, entirely produced by goldenbeets, in 2019.
